The Country Drive to Butterfly Hollow is often an adventure of its own. When you turn on to our gravel drive that meanders up through a farm and valley, you might have to swerve around a Cow and calf standing in your path or a mare grazing on some wild flowers next to the road. The lush hillside around you will slowly engulf your senses and when you reach our gate you'll already begin experiencing a calm and slowness in your breath. Inhale the sweet country air and exhale all your worries as you wind your way into the hollow. As you pull up in front of the 1899 L shaped, log and wood-sided, farmhouse snuggled among a hillside of tall Sassafras trees, you might notice the hundreds of butterflies flying around you, or hear the many song birds serenading, or smell a drift of honeysuckle floating along in the breeze as one of the horses on the hill comes running down to say hello.
The Wraparound Porch will probably beckon you first. The rocking chairs facing the sunset or the hammock stretched between two of the cedar log posts will undoubtedly lure you into their embrace. When you walk inside the farmhouse you'll feel like you never really left the woods. The large cedar tree posts, stair rails and banisters give the farmhouse a warm mountain lodge feel. The many natural colors of the Poplar plank walls, the field stone fireplace, wide plank oak floors and old barnwood cabinets add a warmth and comfort to the farmhouse that make it so easy to spend cool evenings or rainy afternoons snuggled on the leather couch reading or just watching the fire glow.
The farmhouse has two private and cozy Guest Rooms . The bedrooms are up the aged oak staircase, and are separated by a loft that looks down into the living area and fieldstone fireplace. Each bedroom has a private bath, ceiling fans and large windows to enjoy the views. The small quaintness of Butterfly Hollow allows your hosts to share the experience and provide a level of personal touches that make each guest feel welcome, comfortable and at home. READ MORE>>

"I found your website totally by accident, but when I saw it I knew it was the perfect place for our 2nd anniversary. We very much enjoyed the lovely country side, the peaceful and tranquil nights sitting on the porch and meeting you. Thank you for your hospitality and making our first encounter with a small family B&B so enjoyable."
